Lise Jacobson
Lise formerly practiced law but now revels in her first love:
singing. A lyric soprano, Lise has sung as a soloist and in small
groups and concert choirs since high school, including the New
Jersey High School Opera Festival (soloist), N.J. All State Choir,
the Penn State Singers, Lake Street Church’s Chancel Choir, the
Apollo Chorus of Chicago, and with the Chicago Symphony
Chorus at Ravinia. She has also enjoyed improvising vocals for
the D.E.V.A. Dance Collaborative. Lise especially loves singing
classical pieces, jazz, hymns, and tunes from the Great
American Songbook and agrees with Duke Ellington: “If it
sounds good, it is good.” Lise invites special requests. She sings most wedding songs with an accompanist. If one is not available at your venue she can provide one for an additional fee. However, many of her memorial songs and some wedding songs may be sung without accompaniment (a cappella). These are marked **.
